Sepahan Isfahan Set to Sack Jabbari

Iranian Mojtaba Jabbari Sepahan FC Iran

Mojtaba Jabbari, the former captain of Esteghlal, is on the verge of terminating his deal with Sepahan. Despite receiving remarkable reviews from analysts, Jabbari has failed to give his best services to Sepahan. Zlatko Kranjčar, the head coach of Sepahan, confirmed the reports on Friday.

“I personally talked with Mojtaba Jabbari. He can no longer play for Sepahan due to his personal problems. I asked him to leave Isfahan for Tehran to think more about his future. The managers and officials of Sepahan will decide about the future of this player,” Kranjčar remarked during a post-match press conference.

Kranjčar says Jabbari is among the best midfielders in Iran, but he should concentrate only on football rather than other topics. “Unfortunately he failed to give his best to Sepahan. I cannot trust in a player who is not mentally devoted to the team.”

According to Hooshang Nasirzadeh, Jabbari is not allowed to join any other clubs before the end of the first half of Iran Pro League. “According to regulations, Mojtaba Jabbari cannot play for any other clubs during the first half of Iran Pro League. However, he will be free to sign new contract during the midseason transfer window.”

Mojtaba Jabbari was one of the most popular players of Esteghlal FC over the past few years. Despite his move to arch-rival Sepahan, the Esteghlal fans cheered him when he played against the Tehran-based team in Azadi Stadium.

“I prefer not to play football for several months.” Mojtaba Jabbari told reporters on Thursday. After leaving Esteghlal FC for Sepahan, Jabbari made negative comments about the managers of Esteghlal, especially Ali Fathollahzadeh. The managing director of Esteghlal announced that he won’t allow Jabbari to join the team as long as he chairs the club.

From 2005 to 2013, Jabbari played 135 times for Esteghlal FC scoring 26 goals.
