On Device Research Hires Tomlinson To Lead South-East Asia Operations
On Device Research, a mobile marketing research and sampling specialist, has hired former Research Now Client Development Director Martin Tomlinson as the Managing Director to lead the company’s South-East Asia operations. Tomlinson will be based in Singapore.
On Device Research specialises in conducting marketing research via mobile devices. In three years of the company’s existence, it has conducted more than 12 million mobile surveys in over 58 countries.
Tomlinson has more than a decade of market research experience having started with Colmar Brunton Research in New Zealand before joining TNS to head up the sales and development of the country’s only online panel at the time. Tomlinson went on to establish Research Now offices in New Zealand, South-East Asia and China. He has been a key figure and thought leader in online methodology for the past six years in Asia-Pacific region.
This summer Tomlinson stepped into the role as Vice President for the Market Research Society of Singapore (MRSS). He was also the conference chair for 2012 Asia Research Conference, and treasurer for MRSS for over two years.

The firm opened its Singapore office a few months ago, following a partnership with Millward Brown. On Device Research was founded in 2009 by former M:Metrics (acquired by comScore) executives Alistair Hill and Tim Cleminson. On Device Research develops its own proprietary technology to deliver targeted surveys to millions of profiled global respondents.
