Mohsen Rezaei could be the Next Mayor of Tehran
As the presidential election has been concluded in Iran last week, the members of Tehran City Council are negotiating with experienced politicians for Tehran’s top post. Accordingly, some members of City Council have offered the job to Mohsen Rezaei.
Gilabadi, one of the spokesmen of Mohsen Rezaei, confirmed these reports by saying: “Mr. Rezaei was looking to offer his best services to Iranians. After presidential election, a number of members of Tehran City Council have contacted him in this regard. However, he has not yet decided to take or reject this post.”
In his campaign for presidential election, Mohsen Rezaei used to concentrate on his notable economic plans for the country. “If he takes the role, he will be able to promote the city of Tehran in the best ways possible. He is open-mind, and he will do what he could to take Tehran to the next level.” Gilabadi continued.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, another ex-presidential hopeful, was the last mayor of Tehran. Under his management, he concluded several construction projects in Tehran.
“The main intention of Mr. Rezaei is serving Iranians. Base on his latest speeches, he will take every post that is in line with Islamic Republic goals. As one of the followers of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, he will offer his best services to Tehranis if he accepts this post.” Gilabadi added.
It is worth mentioning that Rezaei is an Iranian politician, economist and former military commander, currently the Secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Before that, Rezaee was the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps chief commander for 16 years.
