Karrar Jassim Set to Join Esteghlal FC
Karrar Jassim Mohammed Al-Mahmoudi, the former player of Tractor Sazi and Al-Wakrah, has agreed to join Esteghlal football club on a one-year contract. Karrar used to play for Esteghlal two years ago, but he was fired from the team due to his disagreements and disputes with Mojtaba Jabbari, who recently left Esteghlal for Sepahan FC.
“After I notified that Jabbari has left Tehran for Isfahan, I started my negotiations with the officials of Esteghlal over returning Karrar Jassim. He loves this club and fans, but his disagreements with other players made him to leave Esteghlal in that time.” Seyyed Sadegh Mousavi, the agent of Karrar Jassim, remarked during an interview on Sunday.
“Amir Ghalenoei had already contacted me with regard to the conditions of Karrar Jassim. The managers and coaches of Esteghlal are interested in recruiting Jassim, and the player also wants to join the team.” Sadegh Mousavi declared that Jassim prefers to re-join his former club at this time.
In 2009 Karrar signed for Iranian side Tractor Sazi FC, but he was released in May 2011 for his disrespectful behavior toward referees.
“Karrar is now a 26 years old football player, and he has managed to gain valuable experiences from playing in various leagues and clubs. I believe such events will not happen for him anymore.” Seyyed Sadegh Mousavi concluded.
Karrar Jassim is currently on Free agent. He used to play for Najaf FC in the 2007 AFC Champions League, where he scored two goals in six matches. Karrar Jassim has also scored three goals for the Iraq Olympic team in the Asian Qualifiers for the 2008 Olympic Games.
