Jabbari: Sepahan is Determined to Win IPL Title
Mojtaba Jabbari, the former vice-captain of Esteghlal FC, says Sepahan and Isfahani players are determined to win the title of Iran Premier League. Jabbari has recently left Esteghlal for Sepahan due to discords with Ali Fathollahzadeh, the managing director of the Tehran-based football club.
“I was interested in extending my contract with Esteghlal. In fact, I started my career at Esteghlal, and I must give back to my beloved club. But team officials didn’t contact me with regard to renewing my expired contract.” Mojtaba Jabbari told reporters on Monday ahead of the match against Esteghlal FC.
“Some of my friends recommended me to sign with another club. Fortunately Sepahan is taking advantage of experienced and professional managers and directors. Our negotiations didn’t last for more than two days, and I signed a two-year contract with this club. To be honest, I’m happy with my choice.” Jabbari added.
Iran international Mojtaba Jabbari declared that he will do what he could for Sepahan to win the title of Iran Pro League. “Now, I should play for this team dedicatedly. All the players and coaches are firmly determined to win the title of Iran Premier League in this season. Making fans happy is the ultimate goal of the squad.”
Sepahan Isfahan F.C. is the first and the only Iranian football club that won three consecutive titles in Iranian Football League history.
Regarding the conditions of Iran national football team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Jabbari said: “We need to prepare the team for this tournament in the best possible way. In my opinion, the officials of Iran’s Football Federation should support Team Melli by providing the necessary facilities.”
