Hojatoleslam Sadeghi: Egyptians Need an Experienced Leader
Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini was the main leader of the 1979 Iranian Revolution. By overthrowing Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran, he became the country’s Supreme Leader.
Hojatoleslam Abdullah Haji Sadeghi, the appointee of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to IRGC, says the people of Egypt failed to maintain their revolution since they didn’t have any religious leader like Imam Khomeini.
“Unfortunately Egyptians were deprived from taking advantage of a real leader like Imam Khomeini. Iranians should always pray god for the remarkable leadership of Ayatollah Khomeini and his successor, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.” Abdullah Haji Sadeghi told a group of military forces on Friday.
“The Muslim people of Egypt managed to depose Hosni Mubarak, but they failed to establish a viable system to execute their revolution effectively. In 1979, Ayatollah Khomeini didn’t allow Iran’s army to take the power in the country. But Egyptians allowed army to manage the country on behalf of them.” Hojatoleslam Sadeghi added.
He also went on to praise Ayatollah Khamenei for leading the 1979 Iranian Revolution. “The real values of an experienced leader can be understood in these days. Luckily, Iranians are taking advantage of the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.”
Hojatoleslam Abdullah Haji Sadeghi criticized the U.S. government for their negative role in Egypt’s crisis. “Although the American officials are constantly condemning the ongoing situations in Egypt, they are actually misleading people. Fortunately Muslims are smart people and they can understand the real intention of the U.S. government and its ally, Israel.”
According to Abdullah Haji Sadeghi, Egyptians are no longer interested in establishing friendly relationships with Israel and the United States. “Islamic Republic of Iran is always ready to offer its supports to the people of Egypt, if needed.”
