Google & LG’s Nexus 5 – A New Color Along With Other Updates
Thanks to a couple of accidentally leaked manuals and information, there is enough detail on the new Google and LG’s Nexus 5. We know quite a lot and that includes technical specs and features along with the pricing for the standard 16 GB version of the phone available at the Google Play Store- $349.
Going back to previously leaked information, the Nexus 5 will have a 4.95 inch 1080p display along with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB RAM, LTE technology and the Android 4.4 KitKat all powered by a 2300 mAh battery.
Launch details are still a mystery but we have just found out something else that might pique interest in Nexus users; @evleaks has done us a huge favor by revealing an image of the new device in a white color and finishing rather than the usual black matte.
Although it was expected that the phone would be released sometime in October, the day you should be expecting the Nexus 5 to arrive is most probably November 1. MobileSyrup has revealed that there will be a launch event on October 31. Just to let you know, the Nexus 5 is not the only huge update we should be anxious for; an LTE version of the Nexus 4 is also coming our way. A Bluetooth SIG filing spilled the beans on this one and if it’s true then that is a phone which will be equally anticipated by many as well.
It’s reasonable enough to say that both the Nexus 4 LTE and Nexus 5 will be side by side when it comes to market sales. Even with the drastic updates and changes in the new model, there is no reason for the Nexus 4 to actually fall behind with its LTE chip finally being put to good use.
