Daei Excited by Mohammad Reza Khalatbari to Persepolis Rumors

Mohammad Reza Khalatbari Iran Persepolis

According to local media reports, Persepolis FC are looking to sign with Mohammad Reza Khalatbari from Ajman. However, the Emirates-based football club doesn’t allow Khalatbari, 29, to terminate his deal with Ajman. Khalatbari’s contract with Ajman is valid until 2014.

During the recent weeks, the officials of Persepolis and Ajman have held several rounds of negotiations and meetings over the future of Khalatbari. Apparently, the Iranian club is interested in the services of Mohammad Reza Khalatbari, but the officials of Ajman don’t want to release this valuable player. Khalatbari has also announced that he prefers to pursue his career in Iran rather than UAE.

Addressing a group of reporters during a press-conference, Ali Daei talked about the latest status of Khalatbari. “In fact, Khalatbari is among the best football players in Iran. The managers of Persepolis are pursuing negotiations with Ajman and Khalatbari over his move to Iran.”

Ali Daei, the former head coach of Iran national football team, believes that Khalatbari can help his side to win the title of Iran Pro League and Hazfi Cup. “In order to achieve these goals, we are trying to sign with Mohammad Reza Khalatbari. His technical skills and visions can definitely help Persepolis.”

Mohammad Reza Khalatbari, who started his youth career at Shamoushak, has already played for Aboomoslem, Zob Ahan, Al Gharrafa, Al Wasl and Sepahan. He won the title of Iran’s Hazfi Cup in 2009 and 2013 with Zob Ahan and Sepahan respectively.

“Khalatbari also plays a key role in Iran national football team. With his great performance, Team Melli managed to qualify for 2014 World Cup.” Ali Daei remarked about the potential of Khalatbari.

Mohammad Reza Khalatbari used to play for Team Melli under the tutelage of Ali Daei in 2010. At the same time, Daei was ousted because of his poor results with Iran national football team in different tournaments.
