Commander of the Basij Force Praises Iran’s Economic Progress
Commander of Iran’s Basij (volunteer) Force Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi says the former government under late Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, was unable to produce anything inside the country. But Islamic Republic has managed to reduce imports significantly.
“Currently, the most important aim of Iran is recovering the true Islamic civilization, and to make other countries familiar with the real face and culture of this divine religion. Until now, we have accomplished to reach some of our goals in this regard.” Mohammad Reza Naqdi underlined during a meeting with Basij forces at Tehran.
He went on to praise Iran’s economic progress after 1979. “Before establishing the Islamic Republic, Iran was unable to produce even a simple hose in its factories. The country used to import its basic items from other countries including the United States and Israel. But Islamic Republic founded numerous companies in the hope of manufacturing different types of products and exporting them to neighboring nations.” Major General Naqdi added.
“As people may have seen, economic structures of the European and American states are so fragile, and individuals cannot establish any persistent and continual businesses in those systems. However, in Iran we have succeeded to run reliable economic cycles.” Commander of Iran’s Basij Force declared.
During the recent years, Western governments have imposed several sanctions on Iran’s economy to make Islamic Republic stop pursuing its nuclear activities.
“At this time, I can announce that such types of sanctions were not helpful for these countries. They failed to stop the motivations of Iranian scientists. Today, Iranian researchers are performing nuclear tests without any fear from Western governments and their agents.” Naqdi concluded.
