300,000 Iranians Visit Milad Tower in Ramadan
Farzad Hooshyar Parsian, the managing director of Tehran’s Milad Tower, announced on Friday that more than 300,000 people have attended the cultural events organized by Tehran Municipality at Iran’s tallest tower.
In a press conference on Thursday, Farzad Hooshyar said: “During the holy month of Ramadan, we managed to hold a number of cultural events at Tehran’s Milad Tower. Many people attended those events, and we are actually surprised by the large number of citizens who visited Milad Tower. From 20,000 to 25,000 Iranians paid a visit to Milad Tower at the same time.”
He also took the opportunity to describe the new role of Milad Tower in Tehran’s tourism sector. “Currently, the Milad Tower has turned into one of the most interesting destinations of Tehran for tourists. In partnership with the Tehran Municipality we are going to organize more celebrations and ceremonies for the visitors of Milad Tower.”
Hooshyar Parsian went on to say that many people, who attended the cultural events of Tehran’s Milad Tower, were satisfied with the activities. “According to the surveys conducted during Ramadan, more than 85% of people are satisfied by these events. This is literally a remarkable achievement for Milad Tower and the Municipality of Tehran.”
“Tehran Mayor Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has personally attended a number of cultural events held at Milad Tower. He was also happy to see people enjoying their times in Iran’s tallest tower. Accordingly we are determined to continue running these kinds of events in coming months.” Hooshyar Parsian concluded.
Based on the recent agreements between the Tehran Municipality and Iranian government, more budgets will be allocated to Milad Tower in this fiscal year.
Milad Tower is a 435 m-high multi-purpose Iranian concrete tower built in 2007. It is a part of The Tehran International Trade and Convention Center.
